Another Experience Abroad
Hey readers! I figured I'd give you guys a siesta from my own reflections about my journey to Cuba with an interview about another student's experiences abroad. Click the cat and enjoy! =^. .^=
I really enjoyed listening to her story. I would love to be able to spend time in Uganda. Its great that you were able to incorporate general misconceptions about study abroad rather that specifically Cuba or spain. I feel like in preparation for the trips we spend a great deal of time trying to get things ready, developing expectations and making sure that everything goes as planned and I don't think many people anticipate a culture shock when they get to their destination. I think we have a very very generalized view of culture differences butdont really think about the small things, like manners and other cultural tendencies.
